Elagaia first appeared to us in the form of an old stone house, peaking out through a weed field, stubbornly resisting the pull of gravity and the ravages of heat and rain. To Dianne and me it seemed like a gateway into a Greece that we thought had disappeared years before. We agreed to buy it on the spot and thus embarked on what is now a 14-year journey restoring Elagaia and becoming a part of the Argolida and all that it has to offer.
